Hugh has over 30 years of experience in the patent industry, including 13 years at Motorola, an American mobile radio and semiconductor manufacturer. In the United States, he passed the patent attorney examination before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received the Fred Herzog Scholarship from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, USA, where he received a master's degree in intellectual property law.
Hugh has extensive experience in the information technology, mobile communications and software sectors. He also has extensive experience in patent prosecution and prosecution, as well as extensive experience in licensing, particularly in the standards of the European Institute for Communications Standards.
He is the registered representative of the European Patent Office and has registered more than 5000,<> European patent applications.
Hugh is an elected member of the EPI Council and the author of the book European Unitary Patent and the Unitary Patent Court, published by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA).
