Philip Treeby

 

Over the years, Phil has gained extensive experience in patent prosecution around the world. A large part of his work is for clients on patent matters related to the United States, Japan, and Korea, including patent drafting and global examination, as well as related issues such as prior art and infringement advice.

 

His particular area of interest is the development of ion implantation devices and mobile communication networks.

 

In addition, he gained extensive work experience in the handling of opposition and appeals at the EPO, including attending oral hearings in the Examination, Opposition and Appeal Divisions.

 

Phil flies frequently to Japan and is a dispatch employee at a Japanese office. He regularly lectures for Japanese companies, law firms, and associations, and is a permanent observer at the APAA World Congress.

 

Phil joined Maucher Jenkins in 2001 and became a partner in 2007.

Phil enjoys skeet shooting, golfing and cooking.
